9/21 Planning Commission Hearing on Climate Action Plan and General Plan

On September 21st, the Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing to receive comments on the draft General Plan and Climate Action Plan. Some of the ideas from staff, commissioners, or Council Members discussed at recent Planning Commission or City Council study sessions include:
  • adopting only the greenhouse gas reduction measures required by law,
  • eliminating the proposed Green Building program,
  • eliminating the proposed shuttle service, and
  • removing language that would slow down any proposal to sell off City-owned Open Space.

If you have an opinion about these issues or others that you would like to see remain in, be added to, or be removed from the General Plan or Climate Action Plan, you can speak at the hearing for up to 2 minutes or submit your comments in writing to Al Savay, Community Development Director, 600 Elm St., San Carlos, CA 94070 or by e-mail to asavay@cityofsancarlos.org. The hearing will be held at 7 pm at City Hall.
